Thai Enterprise Expands Industrial Park Investment in Vietnam
A major Thai enterprise is planning to expand its investment in Vietnam’s industrial real estate sector. The company aims to develop a new 500-hectare industrial park to attract foreign businesses, particularly investors from China looking for new manufacturing locations amid trade tensions.
Amata VN, a subsidiary of Amata Corporation—a leading Thai industrial real estate group—plans to invest $15-20 million in developing the new industrial park in Vietnam. The company is currently awaiting construction permits and expects to commence the project in 2025.
According to a company representative, this expansion strategy is designed to capitalize on the shift of production from China to Southeast Asia, particularly in the electronics, semiconductor, and high-tech industries. Vietnam is regarded as an attractive destination due to its favorable investment environment, cost-effective operations, and strategic geographical location.

Amata VN currently operates four industrial parks in Đồng Nai, Quảng Ninh, and Quảng Trị, with a total area of nearly 2,880 hectares. As of 2024, the company has leased approximately 75 hectares of industrial land and aims to reach 100-108 hectares this year, representing a 30-40% growth compared to the previous year.
In 2023, Amata VN reported revenue of approximately 5.37 billion baht (over $150 million) in Vietnam, with a profit of 100 million baht. In addition to industrial park infrastructure, the company is also investing in renewable energy and logistics, aiming to enhance the manufacturing environment for tenant businesses.
Vietnam is becoming a key destination for industrial investment due to its favorable investment policies and competitive production costs. Amid ongoing trade tensions, many global enterprises are diversifying their supply chains, increasing the demand for industrial land in Vietnam. The expansion of Amata VN’s investment is expected to contribute to this trend, providing more opportunities for foreign businesses seeking new manufacturing bases in Vietnam.
